Making Gemini Your Partner
Tuesday August 4, 2026 9:30am - 10:20am CDT
We all know that the "to-do" list of a teacher never truly ends, and it can often feel like the administrative side of the job pulls you away from your students. This session is designed to be a practical, visual guide to making Google Gemini your personal partner in the classroom. We will explore how to build "Gemini Gems"—your own custom AI assistants that can take over the heavy lifting of your daily routine. Whether you need a 24/7 partner for brainstorming lesson ideas, a way to quickly summarize district updates, or a tool to help streamline your communication, you will leave with a blueprint to make your workload more sustainable and scalable.

Beyond the Screen: Building Playable, Educational Websites with Gemini Canvas
Tuesday August 4, 2026 10:30am - 11:20am CDT
What happens when you combine AI-powered game design with student web development? You get an unstoppable classroom ecosystem of engagement and learning. In this session, we will explore how to leverage Google Gemini Canvas to rapidly prototype and build educational games that students actually want to play.

But we don't stop there. You’ll see how to transform these games into high-value, functional websites, and—more importantly—how to pass the torch to your students. Learn the exact framework used to guide students from passive consumers to active creators, empowering them to design, build, and publish their own educational sites using AI as a collaborative partner. Come ready to see live examples, practical workflows, and a blueprint for the future of student creation.

NotebookLM: Building Source-Grounded AI Workflows with Gemini and Custom Gems
Tuesday August 4, 2026 11:30am - 12:20pm CDT
Last year, many educators explored NotebookLM as a powerful tool for organizing sources and asking better questions. This year, we go further. In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to design source-grounded AI workflows using NotebookLM, Gemini, and custom Gems.

We will explore how to build stronger notebooks, write system prompt-style custom instructions, use NotebookLM inside Gemini, and create custom Gems that support repeatable tasks.

This session is designed for educators who are ready to move beyond experimenting with AI tools and begin building practical, reusable systems. Participants will leave with sample prompts, custom instruction templates, Gem ideas, and a workflow they can adapt for their own classroom, team, or school.
